Date With Destiny - Into the void....void...void

Hey there fellow Guardians =)

Today im here to assess One of the 3 new sub classes that dropped with "The Taken King" and yes like the title suggests this new class uses the void element, so ladies and gentlemen i present to you The Nightstalker.

Armed with a bad ass bow made entirely of void energy, the Nightstalker is the latest subclass for the Hunter and im pretty happy with the results,
Obviously after the Vanilla Destiny all classes were bound to be given the Element type they were missing but what i like about this perticular class is while the super initially would seem to be the equivalent of the Warlocks Nova Bomb, the Void bow has a little surprise ;)

The super itself starts of the same as the Warlocks NB (not as large considering its meant to be an arrow) you have a brief moment to aim, hit your opponent and depending on their level 9/10 TIMES bam!! they will be designated in voidly goodness, however if that does not do the trick where ever the arrow land a ball of void energy is created which creates tethers that latch onto the target and any enemy within range and temporarily slows them down allowing you to make the killing blow

As you may be able to tell im a big fan of this new class but it has a few other little tricks up its sleeve, replacing your throwing knives is the smoke bomb which is pretty handy. The smoke bomb has 3 uses, firstly it works as a small explosive dealing minor damage to you opponents while clouding then in smoke to allow you to a.)finish them off or  b.)escape, but once you upgrade a poison effect will also be added making it a much deadlier weapon complete with the previous perks.

This is just a very brief overview of my current class and i would love to hear from you all what your thoughts are! and also tell me what your fav class is? give me a recommendation for my next class setup =)

So that end it for today game play vids are on the way soon and any comments you all my have  to help me make this the best blog i can make its im all ears!

As always "Eyes Up Guardians"
Peace out!!

Date with Destiny

Ladies and Gentleman I'm backkkkkk!!
A long passage of time has passed and im here today to talk about something that has communities divided...Destiny!!!

About a month ago the latest expansion for Destiny dropped "The Taken King" and i can firmly say that this expansion has made this game worth buying.
Now don't get me wrong dear readers I've had Destiny since day 1, hell I even had the Alpha & the Beta and i have thoroughly enjoyed it but it always felt like it had something missing (not intended to be a crack at DLC).

One of the major changes with the expansion is that has done away with the original Level/Light system to make way for a better system where your Light is indicated by the average of your Weapons & Armour which determines your strength, i found this new system much more rewarding and with a steady drop rate of engrams you will find yourself slowly increasing your Light thus getting stronger over time.

Another interesting change is that the quest system has been given a major overhaul as well linking your quests up with clear instructions on whats to come next and been given a fancy new screen panel on the start menu which also lists bounties, speaking of bounties once you complete one you no longer need to head back to the Tower to turn it in as you are now able to do that within this menu also.

There are a lot more changes to be noted but for today this covers the 2 major changes, i think its safe to say with the new changes implemented within "The Taken King" show Bungie are listening to there community of fans and are changing the game for the better.

Well that about covers it for today team, next entry I want to dig a lil bit deeper into my Destiny Journey, When "The Taken King" dropped I decided to start from scratch with a new character so we will see how it goes ;) P.s how you like a Void Bow n Arrow (hint hint).
Im also hoping to get a few gameplay videos up and spruce up this page a little bit to so if you have any ideas on how i can improve this a bit more im all ears =)

Peace Out guys n girls

Game On.2 (Console Wars)

A long time ago the VG buisness was something of a monopoly, sure there were a few consoles around but none had the mainstream success that Nintendo had. The NES was a game changer and the beginning of something that special which would flourish into the thriving buisness we have today.

While Nintendo were the dominate force of the early 90's, Sega unleashed there own beast in the form of a Spikey haired Blue Hedgehog (You know who i mean) which turned things around for SEGA (Sonic became so popular that in 1992, Sonic was found to be more recognizeable than Mickey Mouse in the six to eleven year old demographic). Sadly come the turn or the new millenum SEGA would pull out of the console buisness due to bad buisness decisions and the failure of the "ahead of its time" SEGA Dreamcast (But thats another story).

Mid 90's saw the emergence of a new system brought in to combat the Juggernuaght of Nintendo in the form of the SONY Playstation. Originally Nintendo and Sony were working on a disc based upgrade for the Super Nes but plans fell through so Sony siezed the opertunity and decided to go at it on there own and thus Playstation was born.

Come the 00's and with SEGA out of the picture Microsoft decided to join the fray releasing the Xbox wich went on to sell a modest 24 million outselling Nintendos Gamecube by over 2 million units (not bad for the new kid on the block), allthough both were no match for Sony's 2nd PS Console selling well over 110 Million units.

The Late 00's was a whole new story the once mighty Sony found themselves playing catch up to the Xbox and Wii. Xbox 360 had effectivly taken America by storm and Nintendos Wii was an absolute success selling 100 million consoles. It would take up untill late 2012 for Sony to take second spot in sales finishing just over 1 million more sold than the Xbox 360.

Now a new generation with new console has begun and im just as excited for it as i was last gen. So far Sony is making great progress and same with Xbox but for Nintendo the future is not looking so great, Even though they started this Gen a whole year before Sony & Xbox there sales are dismal and are soon to be eclipsed by Sony and Microsoft. I find this rather saddening because Nintendo have been around for so long and ive always had fond memories of there consoles, so enev though i am Pro Sony i do hope Nintendo can pick up there game. (haha no pun intended)

Game On.1 (Press Start)

Hey Game lovers,

This is my first crack at blogging about something ive always loved Video Games!! The idea of this blog will be me posting news, reviews, thoughts and anything else involved with Gaming in general.

I have been playing games for about aslong as i can remember dating back to when i was 3 and my family had the original NES, on this system we had Mario Bro's and playing this with my family is something i will never forget. (Authors Note: I was told years later i never actually got to play the game, my mum just gave me the disconnected player 2 controller while she was playing it haha)

System's I have owned:
NES
GameBoy
Sega Megadrive
N64
Playstation 1
Playstation 2
Gamecube
Wii
DS
Playstation 3
Vita
Playstation 4

While my original expirence's with games came from Nintendo I have since shifted to the Sony camp as new generations have come and gone but nintendo still holds a special place to me as many of my fav franchises are Nintendo alumi (Im looking at you ZELDA).

Well there you have it the first in what i hope will be many blog entries =)
